I dunno, think I might buck the trend and say I thought this is rather pedestrian compared to their other stuff of that era. I bought the album as a virgin re-release LP in 1986 and probably got listened to a couple of times before drifted away from it. I've got over 150 LPs by them in my collection and I think Pergamon and Poland - both bought as brand new releases - are more exciting affairs and got listened to so many times I've had to buy replacement LPs.

Others in the comments have said it better than I could, but from my POV Johannes Schmoelling's music embodies the spirit of Tangerine Dream better than any I've heard since Froese passed away.

Habe in jungen Jahren jahrelang an einem Roman in einer fiktiven Welt geschrieben und dabei meistens dieses unfassbar schöne Stück gehört. Und wenn ich nicht geschrieben habe, habe ich mich bei dieser Musik in ein Poster des Gemäldes "Unio Mystica" von Johfra vertieft. Als ich irgendwann an einer Konferenz der Schule des Rosenkreuzes (Lectorium rosicrucianum) teilnahm, hingen an den Flurwänden Bilder von Johfra und im Speisesaal entdeckte ich Edgar Froese.

Today,the world is celebrating the double MURDER of KING LUDWIG II of Bavaria and his psychiatrist Dr.von Gudden in the lake of STARNBERG near the castle of BERG.They were both found d r o w n e d ( or at least helplessly exhausted floating) in that lake . KLAUS SCHULZE in his album X painted (composed) a fantastic portrait of the genius king,who was far ahead of his time and surrounded by jealousy and envy...enough to feel uncomfortable .In order to get rid of him they made this into a " mental disease" : PARANOIA...which is an o u t r a g e . All he needed was a good nutritionist and herbalist....not someone practicing the p s e u d o s c i e n c e of psychiatry N o behaviour or misbehaviour is a " mental disease" "EIN EWIG RÄTSEL WILL ICH ALLEN BLEIBEN" he once said . Chances are,he'll be back for the SECOND COMING,when the KING OF KING facilitates his return.

also, this track being identical to "Midiaction", side two of "Miditation", must have been recorded either 1981 or 1985, as "Klaus Schulze: The Official Website" clearly states "1981 & 1985, Hambuhren"; and if these years are respective to the tracks that would make "Midiaction" = "Ludwig's Traum", 1985...(convalescing from hip surgery last week, lotsa time on my hands)...
